125 students from Nigeria who have received full scholarships from the government will be attending college in Boston this Fall (August/September). They will be attending the Northeastern University , My Fox Boston reports. Yesterday Monday 26th May 2014, 53 of the 125 students arrived in Boston, with Special Adviser to President Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs Kingsley Kuku . Showing their patriotism, they wore green-and-white scarves that represented the Nigerian flag. According to a release, the children came from deprived regions of the country. They are required to complete a summer bridge term at Northeastern before they join the University’s sophomore class. Last week Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State relieved some members of his cabinets(Some commissioners and board chairmen) of their duties. The Governor on Tuesday 29th April 2014 sent to the State House of assembly the names of people nominated to fill some vacant positions in his cabinet. According to our source, the governor stated that the nomination was in line with the provisions of sec 192 of the Nigerian Constitution. The nominees are: 1.Mr. Ante Okpo 2.Engr. Ignatius Edet.
