9ice declares intention to run for House of Rep.


I guess this is the season of celebs veering into politics. First it was Kate Henshaw…then Julius Agwu and now 9ice. Fuji star, Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ice has declared his intention to run for the Federal House of Rep member in Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal Constituency. He announced  on twitter. He’s yet to unveil the party he will be running under. Goodluck to him.

125 students from Nigeria who have received full scholarships from the government will be attending college in Boston this Fall (August/September). They will be attending the Northeastern University , My Fox Boston reports. Yesterday Monday 26th May 2014, 53 of the 125 students arrived in Boston, with Special Adviser to President Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs Kingsley Kuku . Showing their patriotism, they wore green-and-white scarves that represented the Nigerian flag. According to a release, the children came from deprived regions of the country. They are required to complete a summer bridge term at Northeastern before they join the University’s sophomore class. Governor Akpabio Nominates new commissioners

Last week   Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State   relieved some members of his cabinets(Some commissioners and board chairmen) of their duties. The Governor on Tuesday 29th April 2014 sent to the State House of assembly the names of people nominated to fill some vacant positions in his cabinet. According to our source, the governor stated that the nomination was in line with the provisions of   sec 192 of the Nigerian Constitution. The nominees are: 1.Mr. Ante Okpo 2.Engr. Ignatius Edet. The nominees are however awaiting screening  by the House which is scheduled to hold Tomorrow 30th April 2014. Congratulations in advance to the nominees.

Kim Kardashian makes it oficial, adds West to last name.

Few days after marrying Kanye West, Kim has changed her name on her Twittter and instagram accounts to Kim Kardashian West. In her last wedding to Humphries back in 2011, she refused to change her name telling her husband then that the Kardashian name was already a brand and she couldn't drop it or add anything to it.Guess this one is really gonna last. another pic after the cut
