Dr. Oby Ezekwesili replies Doyin Okupe On 'handshake' issue


Leader of the #BringBackOurGirls protest and a former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has reacted to the allegation that she refused to shake hands with the Senior Special Assistant to the president on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe at Heathrow Airport, stating that she declined the theatrics of a false hearty
handshake.
She took to twitter to reply Okupe, who had earlier labelled her ‘childish, petty and unfit’ and call to question her stand as a Christian, especially as a pastor’s wife.
However, madam Oby maintained that she responded to the verbal greeting of Okupe but declined the
handshake from him.

President Jonathan offer amnesty to Boko Haram

Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Boni Haruna, on Thursday disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan has announced amnesty for members of the Boko Haram sect as parts of his administration’s youths-friendly programmes and policies. Haruna disclosed this while giving an overview of youth’s position in the present administration’s transformation agenda at a special event tagged “A day with young leaders of Nigeria” to mark the nation’s Democracy Day in Abuja. The minister said series of integration programmes have been lined up for members of the sect who would surrender their arms and embrace peace. He therefore called on them to embrace the government’s gesture.
