Reports:Jim Iyke To Lose Lead Role in Adaptation of Kenyan Novel ''MY LIFE IN CRIME''
So in April 2013 it was revealed that Nollywood star, Jim Iyke will star
as John Kiriamiti in the film adaptation of a popular Kenyan novel My
Life in Crime however it seems that’s not gonna happen anymore.
According to reports, the screenwriter of the movie Serah Mwhihaki revealed at this week’s Broadcast, Film and Music Africa conference that Jim Iyke may be dropped from the movie due to high production costs. So it seems the options available now are; Jim takes a very high pay cut or the movie gets some more money to aid production.
My Life In Crime is one of three novels written by John Kiriamiti and supposedly based on the exploits of Kiriamiti as a Nairobi gangster in the seventies. The other books in the series include My Life With A Criminal and My Life In Prison.
