Ebola: Nigerian Man Quarantined in Hong Kong


A 32-year-old Nigerian man travelling from Lagos was quarantined after showing Ebola-like symptoms during a trip to Hong Kong.

However, he has tested negative for the virus, AlJazeera reports.

Ever since the Ebola outbreak re-emerged, the Hong Kong government instituted a new policy of conducting quarantine for all individuals from Ebola-infected regions who showed symptoms of the disease.

Governor Akpabio Nominates new commissioners

Last week   Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State   relieved some members of his cabinets(Some commissioners and board chairmen) of their duties. The Governor on Tuesday 29th April 2014 sent to the State House of assembly the names of people nominated to fill some vacant positions in his cabinet. According to our source, the governor stated that the nomination was in line with the provisions of   sec 192 of the Nigerian Constitution. The nominees are: 1.Mr. Ante Okpo 2.Engr. Ignatius Edet.
